A company that manufactures large medical devices for surgical procedures called us about a product line that had been manufactured incorrectly and was not up to their quality control standards. If their medical devices had been thrown away in a dumpster, their product could be picked up and potentially counterfeited or resold. We transported over 1000 of the units from their facility via GPS tracked truck and unloaded them in our secure indoor facility. In preparation to shred the surgical devices, we separated the product from the retail boxes. We carefully cleaned our warehouse shredders that we use daily for our confidential paper shredding services. We then recycled the cardboard packaging, and fed the individual devices onto our conveyer for shredding. The shredder cut them again and again and rendered them into unidentifiable bits of material.
We have intense machinery. The whole process only took a couple of hours, keeping costs down and making it a financially reasonable project for our client. We provided pictures and video to our client showing that the product was processed to their specifications. As well, we provided a Certificate of Destruction for their legal records. Our client was highly satisfied with the outcomes of this destruction project.
